Two rooms. Photos — silver gelatin portraits and pigment landscapes. Photocollages — what happens to the negatives I decided not to print.
Method
The darkroom is
still a wet room
The portraits are shot on film and printed by hand on fibre paper. Nothing is retouched. If a sitter blinked, that is the picture.
The collages go the other way — negatives stacked, scanned together, emulsions lifted and re-laid. They are the only place in my work where I allow accidents to survive untouched.
